Single Mother of Two under Two.

Okay, so every once in a while I take out the violins and start whining about my husbands long hours. I had a really tough day and I was on the edge with toys, Dr appointments, filling prescriptions, diapers, toddler fits, green beans being hurled across the dining room and strained carrots on the wall (Jack sneezed). So I brought the kids outside. I put Jack in his walker and Michael hopped on his tricycle and I called Scott. I was seconds away from saying look Scott your the boss just tell your guys to handle it and come home. Before I could say anything Scott answered the phone out of breath saying" hey babe is everybody okay? I cant talk. I had 3 guys call in and I'm working a skeleton crew. I got a 3 hour wait and 13 cars in line." I thought to myself there is no place in the world he would rather be than here with us. He works harder than anyone I know. He is up before the sun and home hours after dark. He never complains and comes home so excited to be with his family. He is so positive and a great example to me. He makes our time count and I know he has to be exhausted. So here is a shout out. I love you and Thanks for all you do.

What an awesome post... Sometimes I forget how much work our husbands do because I am wrapped up in the world of kids all day long. Thanks for the great reminder. You should have called yesterday. I was watching 3 boys under the age of 3. I was exhausted as well, both mentally and physically. Hang in there and give me a call if you need to.

Jana,

I know what it's like. Matt's new job is better with hours but sometimes I felt like a single parent at his last job. Please, please, please call me when you're feeling overwhelmed or anytime for that matter.

If you wanna go to some of the activities, I'll volunteer Matt to help watch the kiddos. It would give Brayden someone to play with and Matt would get some baby fill since we don't have one under the age of 2 yet. :)

Hey, when can Kristin and I come see you? I've been thinking about you and wondering where you are? I guess now I know.

I'm going to echo Erika's "thanks for the reminder". Our hubbies are such sweethearts. I told Matt thank you for being a good provider and giving me the opportunity to be home with the kids.
